Institute for Women’s Empowerment

The Institute for Women’s Empowerment (IWE), our chapter’s vision in motion is an intensive four month life skills program using an interactive/experiential curriculum experience which culminates with each participant who completes the program. Participants are required to complete either a five year Individual Business Plan (IBP) or Family Business Plan (FBP) to successfully graduate the program. The IBP or FBP is then integrated and implemented into the participant’s existing case management plan.

IWE has completed two classes graduating 15 women from public housing and the program has received a level of collaboration and recognition from the highest levels of government, non-profits and businesses in the city – we are seen as a leader in education and economic empowerment.
